Bertone shows a study of a Fiat Punto Convertible with 4 seats, for which CTS CarTopSystems developed a two-piece Retractable Hardtop. So far you find only 2+2 seaters in this market segment. This convertible car study is a joint work of Bertone and CTS. For this convertible car study, Bertone created an attractive car shape integrated with the described retractable hard top. A target was the development of a fully-fledged 4 seat convertible with Retractable Hardtop on basis Fiat Punto without extending the trunk of the vehicle. CTS presents a roof concept, which deviates formally of the previous coupe-silhouettes, and nevertheless does not abandon on a dynamic and distinctive external form. The concept has a steep-standing, concealable backlite, and captivates by a simple system that offers sufficient space to four people. This concept was styled, elaborated and developed within short time.
